How do I change from 3G to 2G network?
This can be done easily by doing the following:
- Go to Options
- Select Mobile Network
- Under “Network Mode”, you will have the option of changing it to 3G, 2G, or both.
Some of you may question this. Well, the logic is simple. 2G has a much wider coverage in Singapore than 3G.
3G simply allows for concurrent usage of data and speech. Therefore, if you do not find this to be of huge importance, tuning your phone to allow for 2G reception is much more stable and this in turn translates to savings in battery life (as it puts less strain on the phone’s radio network).
