Many of us, especially new blackberry users, are confronted by this issue: cannot send file.
For blackberry, whether for a one time file transfer, pairing up your handsfree, or anything to do with bluetooth, YOU HAVE to pair the device to your phone.
This is how to do it:
1) Turn on bluetooth on your desired device and blackberry.
You can either:
A) turn your blackberry to search mode and look for the corresponding device (it must not be set as hidden)
Or
B) turn to blackberry to listen mode and wait for the corresponding device to find you.
For A:
i) Once you find your corresponding device, select it and enter a PIN. If you are adding a audio device which has a PIN preset, enter that instead.
ii) on the corresponding device, enter the respective PIN. Your blackberry should be paired up.
For B:
i) Once the device has found your blackberry, enter a PIN.
ii) On your blackberry enter the PIN
iii) Your blackberry should be paired up.
How to accept file transfers?

1) Turn on your bluetooth and make sure its paired.
2) Go to your media icon and select “receive using bluetooth”.
You can be in picture or audio or videos to turn on this mode. You should be able to accept any type of files.
3) Use your other phone to send using bluetooth and your BB should be able to detect receive.
4) You have to do step 2 for each single item you are transferring.
5) You need to have a memory card for BT transfer to work
*) blackberry is only able to receive 1 file at a time.

How to send files?

1) Turn on your bluetooth and make sure your devices are paired.
2) Go to the file you want in the file manager (for os 5) or explorer (for os below 5 -> go to media, press blackberry menu and select “explore”)
3) Press blackberry menu and select “send using bluetooth”. Select the device you want in the list (paired devices)
*) blackberry is able to send one file at a time only. Repeat steps 2-3 for more files.
